Beyerdynamic A1 Amp
Rating: 5 of 5 Stars! [5 of 5 Stars!]

Beyerdynamic have succeeded in developing an audiophile-quality headphone amplifier, providing precise audio performance even when used with demanding 600 ohm headphones. It may be pricey, but the sound quality is fluid, controlled and endlessly listenable. Yes, worth the investment.

Clear sound, crisp bass, cool stand, easy setup, buttons on side of headphone make easy to use, snug fit (cups ears), surround sound surprisingly makes bass sound nice. If you've got the coin, yeah they are worth it.

I LOVE THESE! Crystal clear wonderful sound. Reception distance from the xmitter depends on the number of obstacles, walls, etc., between the headphones and the xmitter. Line-of-sight distance (80m)is farther than any other wireless headphone I have researched. When one wanders outside the reception area the sound simply cuts off. It doesn't fade out or get choppy. I have found that I cannot use them effectively when in the kitchen while using the microwave oven. It just wipes out the signal. The bass boost and surround simulation can be controlled from the xmitter or the headphones with the press of a button. The surround simulation is excellent.Very comfortable and reasonably light to wear. Can xmit to up to 4 sets of headphone/ear buds simultaneously.

Beyerdynamic RSX 700
Rating: 4 of 5 Stars! [4 of 5 Stars!]
15/12/2011
I tested these against the Sennheiser RS170's and they came up surprisingly well. I marked them down primarily because they are a bit plastically although that said they are at least as comfortable as the RS 170's. Sound quality is great. If you have a hearing problem and use them to watch TV they are slightly superior to the RS 170's. The RS 170's have a superior docking station interms of looks but the RSX 700 is more compact and equally functional. Summary: If looks are important then the RS 170 win hands down. If its price then definitely the RSX 700. Trying to make a decision based solely on performance it's pretty close to a deadheat.

The deepest bass I've ever heard. It goes way down. The bass itself is very smooth, not muffled sounding, precise and has a very good feel to it. The bass impact is the best I've heard in a full size headphone. The highs are excellent. The best I've heard in the dynamic driver technology. The mids here are very accurate, the human voice and the guitars sound awesome. The mids give the headphone the body of sound which lacks in most full sized headphones. Not necessarily the best in any particular department but it incorporates all the best features from all of the best headphones and combines it into one package. Value for money headphones. Definitely a keeper.

I was the person that had to turn the TV up so loud that it drove the rest of the family out of the room. And even then I could only hear half of what was going on. Hurray ?1#+%?/. Now everyone is happy. I can hear everything so clearly. And music is absolutely awesome. Thank you Sennheiser.
